The Plum Mustangs softball team looks to get its first WPIAL playoff victory in school history.
Plum finished its season with a 4-0 loss to Kiski Area School giving it a 9-9 record overall, 6-4 in the section and a tie for second place with Gateway.
"The first round is the big one," Plum softball head coach Jay Marston said.
"We have never had a WPIAL playoff win."
The Mustangs take on Shaler at Gateway High School on Saturday, May 21. Shaler defeated Plum earlier in the season 4-1, but Marston is confident.
"We feel pretty good and want to see how much we improved," Marston said.
"And playing at Gateway [high school] gives us a better chance to get
fans."
